Mommy Monday: Moving!

Today is our very last day in Utopia. Tonight we head to airport city and then Minnow and I fly to Midwest to stay with ScienceGrandma. Meanwhile, Fish and PrincessPup will speedily drive across the country and our furniture will *slowly* meander towards Mystery City. All will be reunited around mid-month.

Blogging will be sporadic at best, especially since I am hoping to go to super-secret location with no electricity, phone, or even runnng water (with a baby, crazy, I know.)

Once in Mystery City, I'll have a few weeks to figure things out (read: find *great* child care) and then it'll be time for adventures as an assistant professor.

Wanted to say - really admire your determination and strength. I used to be a sciencewoman myself who had won a scholarship for PhD in Neurosciences. Things happened and I found myself switching from Science to Education. Couldn't believe it myself in the beginning! But I just love it. The sparkle in a child's eyes when s/he looks at you like you're his/her entire world is an awesome feeling. U'll probably experience all of this and much more with your daughter.
Good luck and just wanted to say - Even if you need to make decisions that you never thought u'd make, don't feel let down by destiny! It's the ultimate happiness that matters most of all!
Take care
